Radiographs also known as X-rays are an important tool that can help us make a correct diagnosis for your pet. These images can help diagnose problems and conditions with the bones and joints, such as fractures, hip dysplasia, arthritis, swelling in the joints and other types of bone abnormalities. X-rays can also be used to diagnose problems with the internal organs, like the heart, lungs, spleen, liver and kidneys and even identify foreign objects that may have been ingested. In some cases, sedation of pet is needed to obtain the X-rays.
