Dr.Chander Sharma
Dr. Chander Sharma loves small animal internal medicine, dentistry, geriatric health and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Sharma believes in creating a long lasting relationship with his clients and their pets. He strives to give the best care possible for all his patients. Dr. Sharma graduated from Veterinary School in India. He moved on to gain a Masters Degree in Veterinary Public Health. When he moved to the United States he pursued his PhD in Food Microbiology and Safety. Dr. Sharma spent five years with Mississippi State University teaching. He also did several years of research in the field of poultry food safety. Dr. Sharma’s passion for veterinary medicine and love of animals motivated him to come back into practicing veterinary medicine. His goal is to create an environment where the client can ask questions and get the answers they need to create the best life for their pet. In his free time he loves to spend time with his wife and two beautiful children.

Dr.Gurpal Singh
Dr. Gurpal Singh enjoys surgery, internal medicine and a good challenge! After he graduated from Veterinary School in India, he moved to the United States in 2005. He gained his Veterinary license in 2007 and quickly joined Parker Animal and Bird Clinic. He gained his experience in medicine and surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Charles Blonien. He spent 16 years at Parker Animal and Bird Clinic honing his experience in orthopedic surgery, skin conditions, internal medicine and overall well-being for pets. He has been supported in his endeavors by his beautiful wife Harman and 2 kids. He loves gardening and traveling.

Dr.Brittany Sommermeyer
Dr. Brittany Sommermeyer enjoys learning about dentistry, cardiology, and gastroenterology. She graduated from Oklahoma State University's veterinary medicine program in 2020, but she is a Texas Tech Red Raider at heart! Dr. Sommermeyer began practicing at Parker Animal and Bird Clinic where she received mentorship from several of the associate doctors there including Dr. Singh! Prior to veterinary school, she worked for several years with veterinary technicians and believes in the value of excellent teamwork to bring the best care possible to our patients! When off work, she enjoys hanging out with friends, movies, cooking, and outdoor adventures with her two pups!
Dr. Sharma and Dr. Singh studied at the same Veterinary school in India and have similar goals in veterinary medicine. Their goal is to create a clinic that fosters the well being of their clients and patients.

MarlenaPractice Manager
Marlena fell into the industry almost 20yrs ago. She started off as a receptionist and fell in love with the industry. She loves customer service. Her goal is to make the client and pets feel welcome. She has worked hard to learn the different positions in the veterinary field. She came on as Practice Manager to build a friendly and welcoming environment at Lake Forest Animal Hospital. She has three dogs that her kids say she loves more than them. In her free time, she loves doing car shows with her husband, reading, gardening, and just relaxing.

Sarah started her career in veterinary medicine in 2008 as a summer job while in college and has never looked back. She worked with Dr. Singh for 9 years before coming to help open LFAH with Marlena and the docs as a Lead Technician. She loves all animals and her job, with special interest in dentistry, surgery, and wound care. She has 2 GreatPyrenees mixes, a Cardigan Welsh Corgi, a chihuahua mix, a cat, 2 birds, and 6 lizards. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her pets and numerous hobbies, including metal stamping, painting, and skeletal articulation. She loves educating clients and helping make their pets' live better.

Nicole started working in the Veterinary field in 1997. She has worked all jobs in the veterinary office excluding Dr. She loves to work with animals and enjoys client interactions. In her spare time she loves to spend time with her husband and 3 children, read, and volunteer in her community.

Giselle started her veterinary career in 2017.She started off as kennel staff and moved her way up with time. She's worked with orthopedics, emergency medicine and general practice. She has loved the journey and is eager to continue learning through many more experiences here at Lake Forest Animal Hospital.Giselle's dream is to become a veterinarian. She is planning on attending Veterinary School in 2024 at the University of Nuevo Leon in Monterrey Mexico. She has 2 dogs, Bear and Toby and 2 cats, Naranja and Toronja, whom she loves dearly!!!

ChadwickAmbassador of Lake Forest Animal Hospital.
Chadwick came to us through the Rockwall Animal Shelter shortly after we opened. He has quickly become a favorite to our clients. He is most often up front hanging out in his cat tree or behind the receptionist's desk.Make sure to say hi to him and grab a picture with him, when you come in.
